i have been learning the sitar from couple of months
its tough...i feel lazy to practice

Once again, I play bowed guitar as well as bowed electric bass. But my bowed guitar is a normal acoustic. I play it like a cello. I use DCGDGD tuning. I have a two octave range and use the middle four strings to make ethereal sounding transitions between the two outer-most strings. I also simply mute a couple strings and play the rest to make a hauntingly beautiful sound. Or I'll fret one of the outer strings and play that and the string next to it simultaneously. It's a truly beautiful way to play the guitar. Well, in my opinion that is.
