Yeah, and her music's pretty weird, too.

Oh, yeah, I've got one. I don't usually listen to a live version, but the album version is plenty weird. But this one is so surreal. Kids today should see things like this so that they can see that there are times throughout history when the world actually calms down and gets easier to understand... for a while...

His watery (if you'll pardon the pun) "Hail Atlantis!" is about the funniest bit but when they finally sing, which part has a nice funky beat to it, he does sing "My antediluvian baby!" in the background periodically. I am always fascinated by pop and rock songs that cram in words you don't expect... promenade, unobtrusive, and now antediluvian.

And yeah, I did find this because of Futurama.

And someone mentioned They Might Be Giants, they are known for interesting music. Here's a favorite of my son's (me too) because 9-year-olds don't generally worry too much about aging. I sent it to my sister on her birthday. I did send her this version... which also would explain why my son likes it except that he heard and liked the song before seeing this:

I was just wondering yesterday whatever became of him. Well, moving on, then...

What a strange lil dude! Yet oddly fascinating... And strange. Really, really strange.

I like Winning by Charlie Sheen, I feel a bit sorry for him but he's also very interesting to me, he must be an aspie with some of the things he says in the original interview, I find the song more interesting than funny really. I'm not usually empathetic to this kind of thing but I really do wish him all the best, it's also quite talented to make a song like this though maybe in slightly bad taste

I've got two to add to the weird song list.

"Atlas" by Battles - The first time I listened to Mirrored, what really stood out to me (aside from it being proggy in a refreshingly non-serious way) was John Stanier's drumming. Helmet may have been his proving ground and his more well-known band, but Battles is where he really shines as a drummer.

"Quote Unquote" by Mr. Bungle - Not quite as accessible as Mike Patton's later work with Faith No More, but then I enjoy challenging music now and then (and Mr. Bungle has certainly succeeded in creating something challenging). Brace yourself if you've never heard this one: it's a little on the creepy side.

I think most anything by Les Claypool or Primus qualifies as weird.

Quite a few... I've always liked the production of Malice Mizer and Közi for instance. Then there are the songs by Monty Python of course :D

The weird and beautiful starts at 0:48. The original, which is on John Fahey's album The Voice of the Turtle has an interesting crashing noise at the beginning which is missing here.
