I bought one of their harm 1 rick copies, a pretty nice guitar for the money but with crappy pickups that needed replacing asap. I'd rather have lots of cheap guitars than a few very expensive ones. Most of them only need new electronics and a setup with some fretwork to become really great guitars. If you do all of that yourself like I do you're saving $$$ compared to higher end guitars.

I got an SX fretless 5 string J-bass from them before. I don't really have any complaints about it other than the pickups....which for basically $150 or so...I'll take it.

For a low cost import I've played a few Epiphones lately that weren't bad. I played one with P-90s on it that actually sounded good. The company is a long way past their heyday in the 1930s though.

If you're talking the Epiphone Riviera with the three P90s, I've got that. It's a great guitar.


I'm thinking about messing around with my Mustang. One actual change and one cosmetic. Throw in a JB Jr I have into the bridge slot, wire it to where the on/off/phase is full/off/coil tap. Then the cosmetic change would be a red pearloid pickguard instead of the regular pearloid that's currently on it (the finish is Daphne blue).

My future guitar. I'm usually a bassist, but I gotta get an electric guitar as an ebow doesn't work on an acoustic guitar... Might aswell get a beautiful one!

Btw, I would never get a real telecaster. Hate the headstock on those.

That will be my bass that I will save up for to reward myself for getting a real job. That is if I get one...

I'm not sure, is the Riviera the single cutaway like a Byrdland or a double cut like a 335? Anyway it was a hollow body or semi-hollow (didn't peer inside) and the P-90s sounded just like the Gibson ones, which always wins me over. I love the P-90 sound, Gibsons sound muddy and dark with 'buckers, but P-90s give them a rude, bright sound that I like much better.

The Riviera is the double cut like the ES335. The single cut is the ES295...I think.

Both beautiful guitars! I've been thinking it would be nice to have a archtop again. Either of those would be fine, but I think my first choice would be a Gretch 6120, best being a Brian Setzer Model. But that would be a lot more expensive, so I may just end up with an Epi.
