The first one that springs to mind is Cash's 'Boy Named Sue'. Unusually for me, the lyrics are what I like most about it. It's quite profound, actually!

shel silverstein wrote that song specifically for johnny cash to sing just a few hours before, and music hadn't been written for it yet, it was just words [lyrics] on a page, so johnny had to rap it instead of sing it, without having seen it before. you can hear his amused surprise at certain parts of the lyrics.

An old favorite. My dad used to sing this to me as a lullaby when I was a kid. I have weird parents.

A lot of Rage Against The Machine songs tell a story of rebelling against country leaders and the order.
In some sense, all songs tell a story.
