Pretty obsessed with Ilaria Graziano, I think her voice is very pretty and I keep listening to songs she's done over and over. Makes me really dorky and uncool because most of her stuff was for the anime, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, which I've never watched. I just love how she sounds.

Oh gosh all the time. Right now, deadmau5, his music is so soothing.

It changes like every month though, sometimes switching between the same few, though.

Yes, I listen to the same songs over and over and over and over and over again. I don't like to branch out very much because I'm usually disappointed.

Groups/people I like:
Smashing Pumpkins
Bright Eyes (Conor Oberst)
Elliott Smith (dead unfortunately)
Blue October
Damien Rice

That's about it right now. I add a new band in every six months or so.

I get obsessed with certain bands/artists. Some of my obsessions have been:

Led Zeppelin
Black Sabbath
Pink Floyd
Yes
The Kinks
The Who
The Beatles
The Zombies
The Rolling Stones
Iron Maiden
Opeth
Metallica
Dream Theater
Porcupine Tree
Alice in Chains
Radiohead
Soundgarden
Nirvana
Linkin Park
Incubus

and many more. I tend to listen to a certain band non stop, collect all their albums, play them constantly, find out every factoid I can about the band, til I get sick of it, and find a new obsession. I still love all these bands though, and many other ones. Music is something I've always been very obsessed about.

They used to give out awards at the middle school graduation and I won the Green Day award.

I'm obsessing over King Crimson pretty hard right now, one of their songs actually rekindled my desire to work on a story. Completely addicted to 21st Schizoid Man.

I obsess pretty much over Radiohead, they're my favorite-band of all time and I actually like 99% of all their songs. I love finding out info about them and watching pictures, I just think all members of the band are so interesting, their music is too. They're always trying out new (and good) stuff so that's cool. I don't know them, but Thom Yorke and Jonny & Colin Greenwood come across as very aspie-ish to me.

I love all of their work, but if I had to choose then Kid A would be my favorite album.

I've always obsessed over bands, when I was a kid it was S club 7, then as I got to 14 it was the Fratellis, then Oasis, now its Beatles/John Lennon, the beatles obsession seems more than the rest though, I've bought every bit of merchandise I can, and have it all laid out in my room, every album on vinyl and CD as many singles as I can get hold of, I've got every song they've ever released on my ipod (even if I don't like it) if I go into a shop and there's a beatles T shirt I have to buy it! I know every bit of information about them, I could go on for hours.....
Its especially John Lennon though, I don't know what it is but I feel like I can really relate to his music/his lyrics/personality etc. He always made me feel safe and not so strange as I was growing up, through him I found myself and now I write music of my own, I've even gone so far as to tattoo his lyrics on myself, so yeh I can safely say I'm obsessed!!

RUSH. And that's all you need to know :)

Overrated? I don't think so. Anybody who is random enough to come up with the idea of putting chicken roasters and dryers on stage is a genius in my eyes.

I can't believe that I missed this thread. I'm sure that everybody on WP knows which band I obsess over. The Kinks. Obsessions are not a bad thing, either. Everybody should have something that they feel passionate about. 8)

1) Rebel, I don't see how you missed this either, but your post is almost redundant xd. I knew about you and the kinks well before I started posting here. o_O

2) I'm always obsessed with whatever band I'm working through a the brilliant lyrics of. Lyrics are the most important part of music for me, and it can take me years to work through a good discography (and, for fiscal reasons, I don't have anything like complete discographies of any of them >_>) so the list, in chronological order, looks like this:

Bob Dylan: there were a few years where I listened to little but Dylan.

Regina Spektor: was also my Dylan break musician, so her phase was a little short.

The Mountain Goats: still my favorite body of work, but probably in my DNA thoroughly enough to pass on to kids.

Ezra Furman and the Harpoons: moved on to them because The Mountain goats have lost their edge and Mysterious Power is the best album I've heard since I discovered golden era Mountain Goats. Being a more musically confident band than the Mountain Goats and steadily increasing their lyrical quality, they could become better than all of the Mountain Goats than The Sunset Tree. The Sunset Tree may lyrically be the best album of all time from any band. You have to live a harder life than most musicians to make an album like The Sunset Tree.

Yes! I'm always obsessed with a certain band and I listen to their music only over and over.

Right now it's Kasabian and I've been listening to their four albums everyday and driving my daughter crazy.

Agreed about lyrics, for years I didn't know what my music taste was because I too fixate on lyrics, but now I've found my favourite band! :D
