Driving across Houston one Sunday morning just before Christmas one year, I spent the whole time listening to the Rice University station until I couldn't get anything at all any more.

That was the greatest Christmas music program I ever heard -- wonderful, wacky Christmas song after wonderful, wacky Christmas song nonstop.

I was tempted to stop on the side of the road and listen, but I had 700 miles to drive that day.

Yeah, but the monkeys were good.

Some of Mike Nesmith's solo albums broke new ground swell.
It's hard to imagine any modern day boy bands getting box sets released in 50 years like the monkeys have.

hard to image any boy band being allowed to make a satarical psychedelic movie like this today
