I was obsessed with musicals when I was a kid. I still like them.

I remember thinking "Did I once see the real world of Christopher Robin or was I hallucinating?"

That was back when Pooh was only on TV about twice a year and if you missed it you were out of luck.
It was like an elusive memory that I couldn't confirm for about a year.

I thought the cartoon characters really lived in that bedroom somehow.

A record that didnt exist until my adulthood.
But I WISH that it existed whan I was a child.

A unique combination of the sublime and the ridiculous.

When I was eight I had a huge crush on a boy named Chris Samson.
I used to think he was cute enough for this song.

Do you like tennis?
Maybe my childhood music choices were a little bit adult?

I love Chris Rea but I don't know that song. ^
I'll give it a push with my headphones on.

Tennis - I suck at it and don't understand the rules enough to watch.
My kids played though.
MS was really good, as he is at everything.

^OMG.
That was someone's absolute favourite song.

I remember returning the stylus repeatedly to this song on Dad's old coffin record player.

Early Robert Palmer was so good.
I don't think I've seen the video for this before.

Reckless.
I guess I always liked angsty songs, really.
Still love the sensitive guitar solo in this.

The first time I heard this song I was seven. It had just been released on the radio.

We'd driven to Florida but we were in Georgia. It was absolutely pouring rain, and we parked under the awning of a hotel to see if they had any vacancy. I thought the song was very strange and didn't know why he killed a man. It reminded me of I Shot the Sheriff, which always made me wonder why Eric Clapton shot someone but didn't seem to be arrested.

^I remember hearing that and thinking, What did I just listen to?
It was so unlike anything I'd ever heard before.
A brilliant song.

Midnight Oil - Power and the Passion
My brother could imitate the jerky dance moves so well.

Yes, very brilliant. ^
Strange though, to a seven year old.
