The sound my chair makes when I move. It's funny. Like "meow".

i have been mucking around searching for surprises on youtube. i have been typing in people's names with the word "piano" after them. people who one would never think had the ability to play.

here is ex president richard nixon playing a bit of something he composed. i wish they did not cut it off and there are no more examples of him p[laying the piano on youtube.

here is another surprise.
phyllis diller obviously was musically gifted, although never a whiff of that came through in her professional life as a comedian.

i can see that in this clip, she seems drunk and shallow, and i can also seem to understand now that she had low self esteem.

the minuet she composed (starts at about 1:00) is brilliant, and she hams it up as if she is trying to deflect serious attention away from her real inner talents.

also, there seems to be no other clip of her playing the piano.

i hate how they chop and change these videos on youtube. i wanted to hear the whole thing, especially the more jazzy piece she plays a few seconds of (in this clip) with franklin

so here is condaleeza rice.

the only video i have seen where david bowie is playing the piano.

this was recorded in front of no audience as a rehearsal sort of thing (but was released later on).

even with minimal complexity of musical expression, he is captivating with his essence of musicality.
it drips from him naturally.

i am going to get warned for spamming i am sure, but....

this is no surprise obviously, but it is a raw rendition by stevie wonder of his song "i was made to love her" to a request, and he seems to begrudgingly play it for tom jones.

to think that this man could come into your loungeroom if you had a piano and make that quality of music all by himself.
no accompaniment or anything.
just imagine having this talent and never showing it to anyone, but one night at a party, deciding to just stop by a piano for a tinkle and belting this out raw.
