Well... I've water colored a few things here and there, but nothing I'm particularly proud of.

How hard is it to do watercolors? have yet to try them tho I have done a bit of acrylic...

It's actually a lot easier than painting with acrylics, because you can layer the different colors you use to your liking without completely blotting out the color underneath. (Useful when shading, I may add.)

The downside is that it's really difficult to get a texture out of it. Also, if you use too much water, the color will fade out or barely show up.

Thanks for the tips when I get a chance to buy a set, I will try it out!

Iron Man

Though I am a comic fan more than a movie superhero fan, watching avengers gave me an itch to paint my favorite member; Iron Man. Enjoy!

Thanks. However You have improved a lot. Keep striving. Your work is getting more detail and proportion so practice is definitely key here, you are doing better.

That's for the feedback, that's probably my favourite too, the main reason why I have it on the home page. Well done on your computer illustrations, I've never quite managed to use a tablet, I know my way around illustrator but mainly used this for making logos.

Actually I stick to traditional drawing these days after someone's suggestion. I've never actually used a tablet though; I tended to draw the line-art and color in GIMP using a mouse.

Queen Nefertari, the famous consort of Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses II, thinks your claims are a little too, uh, "off the chain"* for her to swallow.

Basically I wanted to practice drawing historical figures in more expressive poses.

* Apparently that's hip-hop slang for unbelievable.

From left to right, these are my OCs Gideon ben Samuel and Asethotep. Gideon is an impoverished Hebrew (or Israelite) vagrant who gets caught stealing from the Egyptian royal tombs, but instead of having him executed, the Egyptian Pharaoh Asethotep decides to employ him for espionage missions. The two characters feel a strong attraction towards each other from the get-go, but can Gideon survive to consummate his desire for the ancient world's most powerful woman?

^ Nice piece and background story.

This piece is something i had been toying with for awhile, as far as the concept goes. Today it just poured out pretty flawlessly as I was able to paint what I wanted to portray with the piece.

Giggles

Was watching a horror movie with my family. I am terrified of clowns and the like and LO and behold, there is a marionette harlequin jester in it that is totally creeping me out. So I busted my sketchbook so I could fiddle while I fought to take a hold of my fright. I end up making this thing. And . . . I think its kinda cool!

My Room

Graphite Sketch. I was bored, it seemed like a cool idea. I did it.

My Room V2

I found a nice, cheap set of watercolor pencils and I just HAD to get it. been practicing with traditional watercolor paint, but it was kind of hard for me to give the pieces the sort of dimensions I was looking for. I had actually never heard of them before. I sketched this with the pencils then used water to smooth it out a bit. Re-did My Room because it was easy to do on the little sample sketchbook that came with the kit and because it is a piece that was already pretty interesting to me. I think I love watercolor pencils. Will probably try something a bit more complex later on, when I get a better watercolor pad.
