^ I like it is it a little monster?

A Friendly Face
She is a graphite sketch. Used it for facial practice but I think she came out better than the planned pieces I made after her.

PS: if anyone knows how to resize to avatars, can anyone make an avatar of this for me? =) ty

Was not gonna post more today (or draw for that matter) but I had an itch and after I was done I HAD to share. Double wammy. The sketch and the poem go together.

The Chord of Laughter
------------------------------
Expect no coin behind the ear
Or balloons of many shapes
For his trade is in blood written
And his jokes are made of flesh

If you fear him he will find you
If you hide you play his game
Beware giggles in the night
Where no jokes are to be heard
---------Keyla Mojica (12/20/12)

It's just a female version of a character from a webcomic called Homestuck.

More Homestuck Fan Art. I think it's fun to do this.
This time I made a random Dersite using Gimp and Ms Paint. However, I mainly used Ms Paint, as Gimp seems kinda confusing to me.
This is how it came out:

Hope this is o.k. To ask here, but does anyone know a way to get artwork from the iPad brushes app on to a website? Brushes doesn't seem to "mesh" with any that I've tried. Sorry for the non-tech way of talking about it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Look up some digital brushes on Google and download those.

I've hidden away my art for my whole life but thanks to WP, I've decided to pursue it a bit more seriously and show some of it. You can check it out at Deviant Art. Here's one I did the other day that came out nicely.

It is interesting. I understand your confusion with gimp. I use gimp as an alternative to photoshop, since I do not have the funds to buy a copy. Thus gimp is a lot better used for photomanipulation, for editing, etc. than it is to work with from scratch, at least to me it is. If you need tutorials try to look for them in YouTube, I have heard they have videos to help you out.

^ Yes. Especially the hair on the left - it's practically photo-realistic! 8O

She's got the most perfect hair, makes it easy to draw like that ;) Hoping to get it finished after Christmas and show you all.

In response to what others have pointed out, the uncanny valley feeling might simply be down to her eyebrow not being in line with her brow bone, as well as her right eye (our left) being slightly higher than the other. Perhaps try tweaking the positions of things a bit? You're definitely on the right track, though!

Oh well. I got bored last night, so I whipped out my brand new water colors and drew/painted a vampire/chick... thing...
