This battle-scarred Tyrannosaurus rex is a planned character for one of my fantasy stories (more about that in an earlier post ITT). I don’t have a name for him yet, but right night I tentatively call him “Veteran”. He’s in his mid-twenties, which is relatively old for a tyrannosaur, and he’s exactly the sort of solitary and misanthropic curmudgeon you expect for his species. However, unlike the allosaurs who are the story’s major antagonists, Veteran doesn’t actively seek out human prey. He would prefer to ignore us scrawny simians in favor of meatier and more challenging game. In fact, for all his characteristic grouchiness, Veteran isn’t needlessly sadistic; he has a “live and let live” attitude towards anything that doesn’t threaten or irritate him. Who knows, he might even make a useful ally if you manage to get on his good side…
I love how you draw dinosaurs! Especially how you drew the front view of its head. I still have to learn how to do that.

By "bleh", I was referring to my own drawing, not yours.

(Thanks guys, I appreciate your praise.)

Sorry. Now I feel like a complete jerk. My drawings are no where near yours in orignality. They are worthless pieces of crap that should be burned.

Out.

Art of my own character so I can seem less of a hypocrite while also seeming like less of a dick.

Jellyfish (Digital Version)

I think I have found a new and interesting art subject. Jellyfish are invertebrates . . . and look amazing! You can play with so many different spectrums when painting them!

Jellyfish (B and W Graphite)

No idea what has mesmerized me about Jellyfish, but here it is, another jellyfish art piece! This one is traditional, good old graphite. I had originally intended to sketch it and water-color it, but the simplicity was so impacting, I am loath to do so. I may color it digitally to see how it turns out. But I do not want to mess up the integrity of the sketch.

Hey, it's okay. It was only a misunderstanding. :)
That said, if you want to get better at art, you should practice. A lot. Because my drawings used to be even less than crap.

Thank you! It's based on this gryphon (that someone else drew for Gryffs.com):

^ interesting piece. I actually like the coloration. It looks like a caricature. What is it? The creature, I mean.
