Who besides me here hates step-by-step drawing, or any type of drawing that involves steps?

Rock them dreads, Queen Neferfari! This is the famed bride of Pharaoh Rameses II the Great, viewed from behind. Despite the opening sentence, you could regard this as, uh, more practice drawing the female backside (something I’ve neglected for a few weeks now). I hope this time I didn’t make her assets too disproportionately prominent.

I do like a lot of the shading, because I did it with a set of manga markers I got.

When I make abstract art, I create a series of rules, steps you could say, in my head that I must follow during the execution of the piece.

I have the same username on deviantart (can't post links yet)

Sorry I just noticed your question! I start the piece with a 2B and shade between a four and six b graphite. I use an eight B on the very darkest areas sometimes.
