I love this performance for Joe Cocker being totally raw and uninhibited. His body is a conduit, a direct unfiltered manifestation of what the music does to him and how it makes him feel. Most people and even most performers limit themselves or filter the rawness they may feel.

Great pick. I saw one of their reunion shows and it was my favorite concert. Brighten the Corners is my favorite album of theirs.

That show must have been great!

This song fits a girlfriend I had when I was young to a T. Beautiful, talented, interesting and tragic all at the same time.

I saw the Dead three times. Once at World Music Theater in Illinois. My longtime friend and roommate drove there and I convinced my girlfriend at the time to come with. She hadn't heard much of the Dead before that and was skeptical that she would like the show. It was a perfect summer night. After the show was done my girlfriend sat cross legged on the ground and didn't say a word for about twenty minutes. We asked her multiple times if she was OK. She said later that she sat there because she had never wanted it to end. She'd experienced a profound life changing experience. The music and the overall group experience were first and foremost with the psychedelics only tertiary......
Instant Deadhead.
