Ugh. I have to read that for my Archetypes in Mythology class. I'm not looking forward to it.

I can appreciate Tolkien's genius...but at the same time, I just don't like his writing.

A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. My most favorite book of all time.

Magic the gathering: The brother's war, book I

Actually the first fantasy novel I've read in a long time.

Besides that - I'm making my way through some structural engineering books of my grandpa's. I would go over to my grandparent's house and gradually take his old books. I think I'm overdue for another visit, actually. He still has some stuff on hydraulics, surveying, a few computer related books, and probably some other interesting things that I haven't taken yet. I was in heaven when, as I was helping him move things into storage, I came across a crate full of about 10 engineering texts. He's such a good man to let me have them ;_;

Casually skimming LOTR again.
Then there's Elephant and Castle. A classic.
Various other fiction/science books laying around.

Also I am reading a few programming books: Python/C# (both O'Reilly). I need to get back into that.

The funny thing about this is that I rarely finish a book all the way through in one session (by session I mean consecutively reading nothing but). I'll keep the stories in my head until I feel like they're interesting enough to continue.

Terrier by Tamara Peirce, and an almanac too… *claps* It’s an amazing fantasy book!

I'm not loving the book but I was told that before reading The Lord Of The Rings it was important to read The Hobbit.

The Elric novels (published as one book) by Micheal Moorcock
The centenary edition Conan chronicles, by Robert E Howard

Going through a bit of an old school fantasy phase.
