I understand all the hate for Ke$ha and Miley and their ilk, but I find even them more listenable than Owl City.

I find construction work more listenable than Owl City.

I'd have to say Kesha. I could be out at a club drinking, have a good time, Kesha comes on and my buzz goes right out the window.

One of my buddies was mentioning that Tik Tok was in a Disney cartoon movie? Its a really confused society we live in when Disney, of all the companies out there, is telling little kids to brush their teeth with JD.

She's one of those people where you just sit back, keep a straight face, and say "Hmm....I'm guessing she was homeschooled".

Worst out of the current pop stars is definately Kesha, or Ke$ha  Every time I see her perform live, like on Jimmy Fallon or SNL, she has a "Wow, I can't believe they take me seriously" look about her

So basically you think most every pop artist out there is the worst rite

Pop music is fast food for the mind. It's just as fattening and unhealthy and the people who consume the real stuff find it appallingly disgusting.

Kesha and Taylor Swift....she really bugs me. And some guys artist that sings the song "I'm going solo" or whatever it's called.

I have to disagree with Lady Gaga and Pink. I like a few of Pink's songs: "I'm so glad that I'll never fit in//That will never be me//Outcasts and girls with ambition//That's what I wanna see"

What is the real stuff :?:
I consume it all but I think Disney artist tend to be some of the most screwed-up. Disney liked em cuz they looked hot so they wer able to attract older guys as well as kids. Disney got rid of em 1ce they turned 18 cuz they no longer had the appeal to the kids sense they wer adults & they wer also less appealing to the guys sense they wer no longer thought of as underage. The girls had been used to being the center of attention & getting what they wanted as kids from Disney so they had lots of problems.

Not all pop is bad thou

Oooh that's a difficult one. Probably Kylie Minogue. There are pieces rather than musicians that I REALLY don't like, like Are We Human by the Killers, but then there's other stuff they've done that I like.
I guess the ones I don't like I haven't bothered to learn their names....

Music created by musicians and not meddled with by record execs who are looking to solely optimize sales through direct intervention in the writing and recording process. That's not to say there aren't mainstream acts who achieve this and do things on their own terms but you won't find them through the stable of pop stars. They're all performers with the exception of the beak-nosed gag who grew up under a record exec daddy who made sure she was trained to be able to do it herself.

I guess all of them have hits and misses. Some of them I can't stand period, but most of the pop artists today have one or two songs at least that makes you go, "Damn, I wonder how much they paid for that one".

Even Miley Cyrus is on my hit and miss list, with ONE song that I like -- The Climb.

Justin Bieber, on the other hand -- hopefully he is a full miss, as I have to say I avoided listening to any of his songs. I mean, I am 35 -- Miley Cyrus is as low as I can allow myself to go. :D

Beyonce.

And I'm not fond of Justin Bieber or the Jonas Brothers, either.
