Have you read her interviews and seen her interviewed. I'd be very surprised if she isn't Aspie. In real life she is most like the characters she plays in Fight Club, Howard's End and The Heart of Me. She is very off center. She dresses quirky and wears her hair quirky. She lived with her parents well into her thirties even though she was working from her teen years. The things she says are just so Aspie-ish.

I've seen her in films since at least 1985 when A Room with a View and Lady Jane both came out. I love her. Have you seen 'Til Human Voices Wake Us? That movie is very personal to Michael Petroni who directed. It makes you wonder about him. I don't know his work, but the fact that the movie is so personal to him and Guy Pearce and Helena Bonham Carter both identified with it makes me curious about him.

Do you have a link? to an interview like the ones you mention

I'm certain David Lynch has some form of autism (film-maker, creator of Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks etc.) his films, especially Eraserhead, have strong autistic themes. Lynch seems to be fixated on many things, including coffee and cherry pie, a motif which runs throughout his work. His dialogue is very black and white, and his directing seems very surreal and detached from reality. Especially Jack Nance's character 'Henry' in Eraserhead. 'Henry' is very confused and does not understand the world around him, he lives in a bleak industrial landscape full of loud noises, sensory overloads and confusing images.

On a more personal note Lynch is of Irish descent, like myself- I know this has nothing to do with autism but still, I'm proud :P

I am a film maker and script writer, Lynch has had a strong impact on my work :) I have written a screenplay of my own which is currently being made into a full length movie 8) (i am also producing said movie!)
