You're not being very clear on what you mean yourself, using the word Goth to describe yours instead of mine, how are we supposed to communicate properly if we don't even have a common word to use or know what each other is meaning when the other uses the word? We should have established that long ago, in fact I thought I did back in the old Topic.

YES! This is one of the things I've been saying this whole time--that the word "goth" means one thing to you and another thing to me!

Basically I think the arguement is about a series of miscommunications and assumption-making and a whole lot of BS that doesn't really matter.

Let's just forget about it.

I agree, I'm still really confused about how it got this way.

When you said things like "Goth means one thing to you and another thing to me" I thought you were ignoring the existence of traditional Goth Culture.

I was looking forward to Black Light Burns' "Cruel Melody" but the more I listen to the preview tracks the more I think I'm going to be disappointed. They have a good initial impression but that's about it.

I'm going to have to buy Elend's new album, when it comes out...it sounds good: Elend's MySpace Some of the scariest music I've ever heard. XD

And I recently came across a strange band called Xeo3. Xeo3's MySpace. Their upcoming album, "Problem Child," sounds very interesting!

You really do hear music differently, all I heard was mvoie soundtrack music. 8O

So what about Lustmord?

Lustmord MySpace

Or maybe you would like Devil Doll more, since they tend towards an orchestral style, I don't see them as very scary but you might...

By an interesting coincidence Lustmord has a 2007 Album either out or coming out. :D

Roy Gnan has a Faux Hawk.

The album "Licker's Last Leg" by Goon Moon is utterly awesome, despite the odd nomenclature.

Listened to "Dawn Of The New Athens" by Aesma Daeva. It's okay. Fans of Nightwish and After Forever might like it because of the operatic vocals.

Also, another album I'm looking forward to this year: "The Divine Conspiracy" by Epica (also a bit like NW and AF).

Human the Death Dance by Sage Francis recently came out; it's good stuff if you can handle prose being rapped.

Avoidance of Doubt - "Blood On Your Hands"

Samples here, on their MySpace

I came across this page when glancing over the comments for Marilyn Manson's MySpace page, thankful to see one that was seeing the album for what it was--a crappy sell out album. So I clicked on their page and listened and thought, "Hey, these guys kick ass." I also like their asthetics...the singer has this cool incubus look (the incubus creature, not the band), all winged and demonic.
