Yes, it is the only genre of music I listen to.

My favourite piece of music would have to be the finale of Mozart's 41st Symphony in C Major 'Jupiter'.
i listened to mozart all day yesterday.he had so much raw talent that if he had not died so young he could have been greater then beethoven or haydn
my favorite symphony is schubert no.9 in C "the great"

I believe he was already greater than Haydn a long time before he died. If he had lived longer he would probably have composed all of Beethoven's revolutionary symphonies himself. In a sense Beethoven was the second Mozart who came to fulfill Mozart's mission once he had died. I love both (plus Haydn btw, my avatar )

I love Schubert's 9th Symphony too. It's probably my second favourite symphony after Mozart's 41st. It's just so grand and beautifully crafted. It's a shame Schubert died so young and found his own great musical voice only shortly before his death. I'd have loved to have heard more symphonies and string quartets from him and perhaps a concerto (not counting the Konzertstuck for Violin and Orchestra.)

i dont think mozart would have completley fofilled beethoven works because they were different people but i agree mozart would have maybe been as good or maybe better.but i am very partial to beethoven

Love classical. Of course, I love almost all types of music and have a huge record collection because of that. Lately I've been listening to Ennio Morricone. What a great composer!

The late Beethoven String Quartets are the epitome of the genre, imo.

I absolutely love the second movement of the 13th quartet:

we are lucky in the uk that we have BBC radio 3 ... it has been an education for me over the last thirty years.

during our first beagle, years 1992 to 2005 i would play on the cd machine (rescued from a skip) in the kitchen as i cooked breakfast the late Beethoven quartets and by chance this one popped up as i was on youtube a few moments ago.

for say two or three years after the first fella passed away i couldn't listen to this because it was so tied up with him.... even now tears are never far away.

my fav recordings are by the highly regarded Hungary Quartet, mono 1952 Paris. r3 recommended them years ago and still I have heard nothing in my opinion to equal them.

its not the Hungary, but its good all the same ....http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=FXiOrAwLlOA
