No, I'm just kidding. XD Seriously, though, it's all a matter of taste. Musically, MM isn't perfect, but by and large he's good at what he does. (I wish his lyrics hadn't gone downhill in his last two albums, though.)

Why the hell are you even comparing the two? Marilyn Manson and Gorgoroth are in completely different ballparks musically.
If Marilyn Manson is a 'poof', then Dita Von Tesse is one hell of a sexy guy.
Why is calling somebody a 'poof' considered an insult these days anyway? I realise it's slang, but what is actually wrong with being gay?
I might add that many people consider black metal to be pretty 'gay'.
I like black metal, and I'm not gay, but your attitude sucks in general.

A music student as well. You can't really argue a true like or dislike in a song or music in general when it's in the form of expressionism. The same hold true to any self expression of art as well.

The first time I saw marilyn manson, I thought he was a freak, but I grew to like his music, I think what threw me
off was the gender bending aspects he had, as I had seen all that before with Alice Cooper amongst others, and
thought it was a gimmick.

I think people can justifiably get defensive when you call an artist they like a 'poof' and talk about how the music you listen to 'kicks the shite' out of it.
