Worked in this exact area until 2015, in a shop that had horrendous artifical lighting. Coupled with my crippling, Autistic sensory sensitivity to light - it was a 'ride' to say the least.
I remember a fight breaking out in the shop, two burly men full on brawling, tins of beans, packets of biscuits flying everywhere. Then they continued to fight into the car park, whilst people lined up outside as if watching a wrestling match.
That sounds awful. I find the quality of light, in general, gets worse as time goes on. Workplace, shopping, car headlights, everything. But, what doesn't kill me, only makes me stronger. Or completely shutdown.
Yeah. At my last workplace I wore sunglasses indoors at all times, but at that particular store I mentioned from that area, I would have probably had my glasses broken (by a punch) if I had of looked out of place like that. It is very common for retail staff to be physically appraised and sometimes assaulted by members of the public in my city.
