I've never heard that song before. ^ Nice lyrics.
I was out of commission in the 2000's so I didn't hear them until about ten years later. Then I had X&Y and Vida on CD in the car. Repeated thousands of times.
X&Y is so haunting. I get all sorts of emotional flashbacks.
Square One ^
Is there anybody out there who is lost and hurt and lonely too? Are they bleeding all your colours into one? And if you come undone As if you've been run through Some catapult had fired you You wonder if your chance will ever come Or if you're stuck in square one
Talk ^
I can't, I can't get through I've been trying hard to reach you and I don't know what to do Oh brother I can't believe it's true I'm so scared about the future, and I wanna talk to you
In the future where will I be? Nothing's really making any sense at all, let's talk let's talk
----
This was for my dad who had passed away. ^
A friend committed suicide and they played O at her funeral. That was another huge impact.

Yeah I like to discover new bands, and get into them. (Even if those bands have been around for like 20 years. ha.) Coldplay are certainly technically good. (Listening to Square one.) They have a dream like quality to their songs. They're very light and airy. Reverberation. Instruments mixed in kind of wall of sound. Are those synth pads backgrounds? It's maybe a guitar amp effect. X&Y is a good album, sonically, it reminds me of Verve. But more easy-listening. More traditional, acoustic guitar, grand piano. More laid-back. Less aggressive.
Hammond organ. It seems. I've heard this on radio before. It's good. I like it.

Yes, airy is a good word. Cold open air and birds. A boundless expanse.
I like the dream description too.
I remember when Gwynyth announced her daughter's name, Apple. I know exactly what I was doing and where I was. Then the parents' divorce announced as a "conscious uncoupling". I love that ^. I was so envious. Wished I could consciously uncouple.
Swallowed in the Sea ^
You cut me down a tree And brought it back to me And that's what made me see Where I was going wrong You put me on a shelf And kept me for yourself I can only blame myself You can only blame me And I could write a song A hundred miles long Well, that's where I belong And you belong with me And I could write it down Or spread it all around Get lost and then get found Or swallowed in the sea You put me on the line And hung me out to dry And darling that's when I Decided to go to see you You cut me down to size And opened up my eyes Made me realize What I could not see And I could write a book The one they'll say that shook The world and then it took It took it back from me And I could write it down Or spread it all around Get lost and then get found And you'll come back to me Not swallowed in the sea And I could write a song A hundred miles long Well, that's where I belong And you belong with me The streets you're walking on A thousand houses long Well, that's where I belong And you belong with me Oh, what good is it to live With nothing left to give Forget but not forgive Not loving all you see All the streets you're walking on A thousand houses long Well that's where I belong And you belong with me Not swallowed in the sea You belong with me Not swallowed in the sea Yeah, you belong with me Not swallowed in the sea
For Paul Emanuel

Yeah, I remember, very vaguely, the celebrity paparazzi following of them, reporting on them. The hooplah about their babies names, and what not. Of course last time Gwynyth was in the news, I remember was for non-music related reasons. She's quite the entrepreneur.
A woman on her blog, not happy with the novel wrote:
Paul Emanuel. He's the worst. He's the absolute worst. He is absolute 100% trash. My friends said that he's nice, that he's sympathetic, but I beg to differ. He is literally the devil in disguise. Every time he speaks, I feel disgusted to the core of my being
