Oh thank you Taupey!
Some of those songs are ancieent, I digitised some from a cassette tape I found. I probably was listening to the Chemical Brothers in them days. I wish I could go back and tweak/finish some of these songs off.
I think all of them have been made with a variety of software only.
At the moment I am using the aforementioned Reaper sequencer, lots of samples and some VST synths. There's lots of really good quality freebies out there nowadays.

Really, because they sound great just the way they are. Thanks that's so cool.

Just got a SoundCloud account! Yeehaw!! !
I'm stretching my sound design legs again and working up some source material for a new piece. So here is a tiny, lil bed I've made from an Absynth patch. Eventually I'll use the patch to generate some sounds that I'll put on the Synclavier when I get ready to actually DO something with it, but I just couldn't wait to show off some test material I generated. So here we are:

After having played the guitar for 2 years now I started to play the piano some weeks ago, to me it's a much more satisfying and challenging instrument than the guitar and that's why I'll have my focus on it now. here's one of my first compositions for the piano, it's very pure and expresses very autentic what I feel
I would be very happy if you would give me some feedback or laus or criticism because I've hardly ever met other piano beginners and I don't take lessons so I have absolutely nothing to compare and I feel very lonely with my piano at the moment^^ thank you!

I like those, nice textures. I'd give my right [insert bodypart here] for a pad like that.

Another piece I wrote today while I've been at home because of a cold.
Excuse the mistakes, I got my piano in the late august of this year
I would be very happy about feedback because I've got no teacher and really need information about what I make wrong and of course motivation to go on. thank you

i think the structure of your melody is superb. i think that if you can practice more on the piano, then you will be able to more fluently jump between different key structures , and when you become adept at that (through practice), you can quicken the pace of your compositions, and also iterate them with other tracks, and that would serve to deliver your compositions in a more compelling way.
i do not know, but i just said what i subjectively thought.

These are great AngelRho. To me, they sound quite foreboding - ominous and dark mystical. I love the Buddhist Monk chanting or whatever it is (the sound), it adds an ancient element to it and it's like it has existed forever and always will. Anyway, I love them.

2 EPs should be along the way...Providing my Internet doesn't crash again.
I am also starting work on a 2nd and final (for now) album exploring more Ambient Techno.

I agree with 100% with Taupey. You are doing some nice work already. If I get time, I'll send a PM with some detailed criticism. This piece, at least to me, seems to have a lot of Schumann influence.
One of the difficulties of composing in a tonal context is we tend to let our melodic and harmonic material get static. There's almost no way anyone can make "original-sounding" music that way, yet people continue to compose tonal music. To me, you almost have to work a lot harder to keep your material fresh-sounding. But it CAN be done. By all means keep working at it and improving. Your beginner piano skills are obviously holding you back in performance, but as you know that will just come with practice. Piano is not an easy instrument to learn. Trust me, I know--I teach piano lessons!! !
What's so funny to me is I actually struggle with playing guitar--and it seems to me an even more difficult instrument than piano. You've got some great ideas going, though, so by all means keep it up!
