The question of plagiarism has been raised in an earlier post on the subject of Blondie's Rapture, and a few weeks ago I mentioned myself the old allegation that Marc Bolan 'borrowed' from Howlin' Wolf's You'll Be Mine for T Rex's Jeepster. Here's Jimmy McCracklin (never heard of him before) performing The Walk (1958).
....and here's Beltane Walk by T Rex (1970), written by Bolan:

^ Musicians are known to 'borrow' heavily... riffs, melodies, concepts...down to fashion even. Some get away with it, some don't. Courtcases. etc. Confiscated Royalities.

This is a bit of a curiosity - The Human League on TOTP in 1980, before they were joined by legendary backing singers Joanne and Susan, performing some kind of customized version of an early-1970s Gary Glitter song, lol. Very few people had heard of them at this point, though The Undertones did reference them in the lyrics of their 1980 single 'My Perfect Cousin'.

....and here's the classic Human League lineup performing the brilliant 'Mirror Man' in 1982. There's also an interesting video release of this song, which features repeated footage of John Cobb's fatal accident when attempting the world water speed record on Loch Ness in 1952, but I can't find it on YouTube. Wonder why the group was so fascinated by this event, or why it was featured in connection with this single.
EDIT: it's probably something to do with that line about a pebble skipping across the water at the very start of the song.
