For someone who's an unreconstructed 1970s junkie, I know surprisingly little about Genesis, except that there's a Phil Collins connection and that it was considered to be 'cool' to be into their stuff, man. Whatever, this song is pretty darn good, n'est-ce pas?

Another UK single release from that period, really memorable. 'Martha' was the name of the lead vocalist , but the keyboard player in red also shared that name. The latter artiste later became a professor or a lecturer at a Canadian university.

Tony Christie performing 'live' (as in 'not very live') on German TV in 1971. Still, a great song and interesting viewing if you take the trouble to look closely.
