^Shite...that's incredible!! !! !!
I'm just learning again after quite some time in the subjects of realism, namely portraits. Meh..we're doing self-portraits so there's no way.
You should be one of them famous artists that aren't famous until they die like Vincent Van Gogh...
Now that's the way to gogh...

okey dokey. I don't get much of anything finished anymore, because my attention span doesn't allot for time required, but I have a blog address where I just recently started cataloging primarily old sketches (all the way back to elementary school). Eventually it will be filled with everything artistic that I do, but like I said, my attention span isn't really there to keep me on one thing for too long.
Currently I'm working on assorted craft projects, do a little bit of sketching mainly to be utilized in 3d projects, such as plush dolls or sculpting. I play with pretty much all mediums and have ongoing projects in most, just laying around collecting dust until I pick them up again. My current focus is to TRY AND FOCUS on finishing things I start.
My future artistic desire is to get into high fashion/artistic photography, artistic couture & textiles AND the special effects industry. As far as fine art, I want to build conceptual articulated sculptures. These can be on the scale as OOAK dolls/action figures and other toys, but many of my ideas are full-sized and require rigging and mechanics.
Currently delving into claymation and animatronics ontop of action figure customization. I do other geeky things like beadsprites, video game/comic book/horror themed fabric and needle arts, papercrafting, etc. I have some character sketches I am amassing for a couple different illustrated novels and manga that are being fleshed out here and there ---as well as a few children's books, including limited edition toy sets and dioramas to accompany them.
Anyway, my artblog URL is:
http://cxareigna.blogspot.com
It will be expanding content as I begin photographing more things around the house, transfering files, and scanning images. There will also be an extensive Tutorial section in the future covering a broad range of traditional and not-so-traditional crafts.
You can check out additional content (that has yet to be moved over) in my Myspace photo album(s). There are some graphic design and web interface screenshots, and a couple photos of some quick-sculpt ideas that may be located in the Blog/Journal section, as well as other messes to sift through.
http://www.myspace.com/cxareigna
I will also be opening an ETSY shoppe in the near future if anyone is interested in purchasing or commissioning a piece. I work in several styles, mediums and themes. And I need the money for school!
Oh yeah, I'm also capable in Portraiture, Realistic Caricature and Miniatures.

*L* good question. I forget myself. I feel no more than 15, but I just turned 26. Gosh, 26, getting old and going nowhere. Never thought I would make it to this age.

I only just switched back onto the art path recently when I realized that the white collar world definitely is not suited for a chick like me. So, I feel somewhat left behind, but I am working to bridge the gap, playing catch-up in a big way. I probably should've never given up on art in the first place, but the "sensible" people in my life had been attempting to talk me out of it since elementary school. I stopped pursuing it around 6th grade and just sketched to keep my hands occupied, but it was my first love, and my life is at a standstill, so it's time to listen to "my true calling." Hopefully I'm not misinterpretting the whispers.
And there looks to be such wonderful artists in this group. It's amazing.
Obsession gets you everywhere.

why are you still awake at 2:29 am?

@Neo: Kandinsky started painting when he was THIRTY. I started my career at 26 and just graduated a couple of weeks ago

It's never too late to start

It's never too late to start

Thanks for the Kandinsky art history --wasn't aware of that. I've met a few people who had decided to become artists or writers after they retired. So, I guess age isn't really a factor, just that you have less time to reap the benefits and are socially at a disadvantage to gain notice (the younger the are, the more spectacular your feats seem).
I am trying to follow a plan right now of limiting the amount of projects I'm working on at one time. I've decided to only start one in each medium and be involved with no more than 10 concurrently. It will also help me gage which ones keep my interest the most, cost factor, and time requirements, which my process (if you can call it that) presently isn't capable of monitoring such things.
I wish you and your mother artitistic successes. I know that art is about the love of it, but if you love something so greatly, you are consumed in that passion, which leaves little time for anything else, so money is definitely beneficial --financial gain through passionate activity. Good luck. Cheers.

Wow, cat naps, like DaVinci, it's said that he used to sleep in that way.
I'm in mexico (pacific), and it was 2:29 am, so if you're in texas it was even more late, 3:39 maybe!
in the internet the use of "@neo" is to address someone in particular, in this case you, but I felt lazy to put your full name
So, 10 projects at a time?! ten?! Wow, that's a lot, if I'm doing more than two or three at a time I'm already feeling overwhelmed!
@saxen: thanks
show us your stuff!

So, I was sketching this weekend, got distracted and ended up scribbling more than I intended; this is what I came up with. The original intention was experimenting with facial structure for my artdolls, but I guess this piece, though simplistic, will be eventually placed for sale, after some polishing and embellishment. The problem is, I need a name for her. Chastity is what automatically comes to mind, but I don't want to tack it until I'm sure it's the best fit. So, I'm looking for suggestions, because once I use a name, it will be written out of the books for any further use.
What do you think? She seems innocent, hence the Chastity. Other names I had in the pile were Charity, Mercy, Liberty, and Justice (though that one sounded a bit too strong). She makes me think of Snow White, actually, but I need to give her a real name...or perhaps Heather or Ginger? hmmm...I should've drawn her looking happy *L* instead she looks stoned.
Before I place it for sale, I am going to cut her out and model a colourful 3d paper rose at the base of her neck to pull the piece together for wall display. And I will probably do a few others in the same style extending from different flowers. After I finished penciling this one, I started working on an Asian femme which I intend to have decorated with a lotus. Fell asleep, though, and haven't picked it up since, but I will eventually get back on it.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Awesome!
Very nice drawing Neo!
Love the character, the style, the eyes, and the hair came out great. Thumbs up!!
I'd add more shading to the forehead, or make more parts lighter, the cheeks for example. Also, the shading around the nose is too strong: notice that the shading at the sides is stronger than the shading you put in the eyes "wrinkle" (sorry, don't know the english word).
Also the shading in the thing between the lips and nose is very strong
But overall it rocks
In pastels or digital (corel painter/photoshop) it'd absolutely rock.

Awesome drawing!
She reminds me of that old folk song, Cindy, except in the version I remember, there was a verse that went:
I'll never marry Cindy
Tell you the reason why
Her neck's so long and skinny
I'm afraid she'll never die
I can't find that verse on the 'net, I'm afraid. Maybe it wasn't PC.
