Kirsty MacColl and Jewel. I actually get aroused hearing Jewel's voice. It's an automatic and completely involuntary reaction. I can't listen to her in public.

I'm a bit confused as to why there aren't more female musicians in the world. Females are usually more creative and have better finger desterity, so it seems they are more suited to be musicians. Music was never really labeled as a masculine activity, so why are 90% of musicians males?

Since when have many people done things just because "they can"? Stop looking at them as a whole and look at them individually and think about it, can you imagine them making any music? I personally haven't met too many people I could imagine playing music.

Punk music is different because being in a Punk band in the 70s would have been like having a War Badge.

Also maybe I should have said this in the previous post, but Women tend to be more expressive than men, it's an evolutionary thing.

Of course it could just be that Sexism has had a lasting impact on our culture and it's effects will be felt for decades to come, reminding one of a ripple effect, the cause is long gone but the effects are still felt and continue to be felt, for example there are still things seen as "A man's Job", and people just take this as reality, and even if it isn't said that you shouldn't do something it can still be implied, like for the black people for instance, a lot of things they weren't restricted from doing they knew they would get lots of flak for.

I suppose you would say it's more than just one thing that is the reason, but isn't that true for a lot of things?

Ann & Nancy Wilson
Kate Bush
The singer from Little Birdie (Australian group)
Noosha Fox
Sandy Denny
The Andrews Sisters

and........

Louise Johnson, a girl who recorded 4 songs (and 1 alternate take) in 1930. She was a barrelhouse blues piano player and nothing is known of her but these recordings - fairly took my breath away. One of those magical happy discoveries that we all make sometimes ! !!

My lovely wife Zoe Funk from our newest project together. If Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday and Shirley Manson had a baby it would sound like my girl.
