Good morning planet. How impressive are these kids from Sunbury? Orphaned by this being their first track, dropped last month. Civilians . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zkd-_fTX_Fg.

Oh...why not. Tropical Low are listed as from either Magnetic Island (how exotic!) or Townsville. Orphaned due to this seeming to be as energetic as they get.

Good morning planet. I'm sure my enormous following will cross their fingers that I get lucky at tonight's gig and don't end up sleeping in the van. Today we're starting somewhere new...Caloundra, south of the Sunshine Coast in QLD. On Unearthed they're listed as ThankYouPlease, but their YT topic is THANK U PLEASE. EP link

Good morning planet. Needless to say I didn't get lucky last night and spent from 2:30 am trying to sleep in a van in a hailstorm. The gig was great though. Spoof Maggots sounded better than their YT suggested, Blame it on Bad Luck played a tight set, Late to the Party played some great stuff and Outta Spite were fabulous. I had to thank the sound guy for his desk skills. Nothing was overdriven...zero clipping, yet there was volume enough to fill the room (and get me to wear plugs) The only problem with such clarity was that it allowed one to detect off notes from every singer. (Hey...it's a punk gig not a recital...that's how it's supposed to sound) The venue was a licensed corridor that reminded me of CBGBs and there was only about 35 people there.
I do have a gripe though... I thought a skate punk gig would have had some older skater chicks in the crowd. I'm guessing everybody there was under 25 bar one couple my age. At least I managed to force myself to be sociable. After that gig I walked down the road to the Tote where I caught the last band for nothing. I can't remember what they were called as they were nowhere near energetic enough to intrigue me. There I thought I got the number of a woman who wanted alpaca fleece and said she'd be interested in my bonfire. She was way too young to hit on, but I could handle the eye candy. It seems she didn't hit save though, as I couldn't find her number when I looked the next day

Good morning planet. I'm starting another search source for new bands... The stickers in the band room of Friday's gig. There were so many names I've already posted that the rest looked like a goldmine.
