First of all, inserting a thinly veiled version of me into your story doesn't make you look creative. It just makes you look like a vindictive jerk. (Also, I'm really, really creeped out that you did that.)Onto the criticisms:

1. She has the proportions of someone with dwarfism.
2. Her hands are too small.
3. She has no forehead or chin.
4. Corsets are supposed to give their wearer an hourglass figure. She doesn't seem to have any sort of discernible body shape.
5. Her ears are too high up.

1.The guy is really, really out of proportion. His hands are tiny compared to the rest of his body, and his arms are too short. His face looks decent though, although he doesn't have a chin or a forehead.
2. The woman is also lacking a chin and forehead, and her ears are too high.

Her body and hands are completely disproportionate, and once again, she doesn't have a chin or forehead. Also, her arms are too short. I can't even tell whether she has facial hair or if you were attempting to give her some shading.
You've mentioned in the class that you're planning on taking drawing classes. If you take a class, people are going to give you feedback, and it won't be completely positive. You'll also have to rework your drawings based on their feedback. Consider this post to be preparation.
Actually, she's been around longer than I've known about you. So, she's entirely new to you. I'm no jerk, actually dear if you got to know me, I'm actually a nice guy.
Some pointers
#1 She's wearing an 1880's style corset. This being 1885.
#2 The general is angry at his mother for being there, because she's domineering, and is a b***h.
#3 The general's father is happy he won the election of '84 to get a second term.
#4 She's drinking creme de menthe. One of MY favorite liqueurs.
#5 I was happy making this. You'd appreciate my literature more. I would assume, but I don't know if you're a book type of gal. The title of my first collection of short stories is called:
Peter and Sam: two Creedonian heroes. I also have a screenplay in progress.
