I agree about the touring schedule. I would not be able to handle that kind of lifestyle. Traveling is tiring. I think I would break down crying a lot, not a good thing. Sorry I put my foot in my mouth in earlier posts. I apologize to everyone.

9catmom,

When I found out about AS, and the way it affects your attitude, etc... Yet ****ANOTHER**** reason for me to believe I have it(Because I have that SAME attitude), I realized that I may have been holding some to a higher standard than myself. Oh well, even *I* can't fit my own standard, so I guess it doesn't make THAT much difference. Still, it is obviously easy for even an AS person to fail to notice that.

So I doubt anyone here will hold it against you. It IS understandable.

I DID see an MSN "interview" where he came off as a passionate carefree kid. His picture made him look more like a teenager, though he was probably close to 30 at the time. I could see how girls would like that. In much of the stuff presented here though, I don't see that charm. I just wish I could figure out more of this stuff. 8-(

I agree, Steve. I am a perfectionist, and get angry when I can't meet my goals. It's very frustrating.

It's probably not the sort of thing a man can understand! My husband doesn't get it at all.

But HECK, some men WANT to! Frankly, a lack of interest in sports denies me entrance into a lot of "old boy" things. A lack of knowledge about what some females like hurts me here.

At one point, I really liked this one woman and she LOVED this one guy, and I thought HEY, what does she see in HIM!?!? Frankly, I think I was better in every way. Oh well, it turns out she WAS too materialistic, etc.... Still, that leads one to wonder all the more. I probably make several times what he does.

Well, I don't like the kind of man who's into sport. I like sensitive, sweet, artistic men. And money is useful but it doesn't turn me on!

My husband doesn't understand the Craiggie appeal, either! But I think now that he knows more about AS and has seen recent interviews with Craig, I can tell that he's getting some respect and sympathy for him. For me, Craig is gorgeous, but what really makes him special is what a pure soul he is, and how he's attacked his challenges head-on. He's got so much courage, and to me that really makes him hot!!

Hmm I wonder which interview it was..
Was it this one?

He was 25 here.
d/w if you can't remember, I'm just curious. He did look like a teenager for a long time, but I think he is looking more like a twenty-something these days. :)

I am another fan of this fabulous man.
He is such an inspiration to myself and my family, we think he is great.
It is so nice to see him being appreciated on wrong planet.
Well done!

I am currently reading Tony Attwood's book The Complete Guide to Asperger Syndrome. In it, he described his diagnosis of a certain rock star. He didn't mention Nicholls by name, but the description sounds right. I wish I had read it before my hasty earlier posts. It would have saved me a major "foot in mouth" moment!
