I'm a bassist! I've been playing about 2 years. I love it. I also play guitar (6 years) and ukelele.

I am average at the acoustic guitar. I learned the basic chords, but I'm still trying to learn some more advanced techniques.

lol yeah I've seen that before. He is awesomel

He has got me beat in so many ways there is no comparison. What I have going for me though is that I have done this for so many decades, tens of thousands of miles all on the same bicycle and so long (20 years) with the same guitar. Also that I have written hundreds of original songs and I think some of them are quite good (but of course I am biased).

Been playing on and off for the last nine years. Got a Takamine G series acoustic and a Fender Jag-Stang, and recently acquired a Squier Mustang. Want to start a band, but it's hard to find people out here in the sticks.

yes, but it goes in cycles for me with long gaps in between. i think it is probably fair to say I was obsessed with it from ages fifteen to maybe twenty-one or twenty-two. Then I lost interest and stopped for a few years. Then started again and played regularly for a year. Then stopped. Then started again some months later. I enjoy transcribing and arranging songs I would like to play probably more than the actual playing. Once i've learned the song to a satisfactory degree I don't play it again. I usually start by seeing if anyone has made a midi version of the song I like. I then import that into TuxGuitar and arrange it for single guitar feasible arrangement.

I've been playing for 14 years. I'd say I'm pretty good, better than average at least. I play acoustic and electric.

I also got into building my own effects and amps... learning electronics through the process. A whole other special interest.

grats! I hear they are great fun! IIRC in the "Concert for George" (tribute to George Harrison after he died) I heard that Paul McCartney and George Harrison would often bring a ukulele with them when visiting each other.

Been playing bass for roughly 16 years now, but only as a hobby. Nothing serious (don't play in a band and don't compose my own tunes). I pretty much just play Primus and Les Claypool stuff to de-stress. I'm self-taught mostly, using tab and ear. Definitely helps that Mr. Claypool and Primus are a special interest of mine.

Started off with a Peavey Foundation 4-string fretless and now just use a Rogue 5-string.
