I'm looking for music that's a cross between Nine Inch Nails (traits: subversive rhythms, aural despair) and cLOUDDEAD (traits: spooky textures, idiosyncratic sampling) . Any suggestions?

there's a site called lastfm. You type in a band name, choose them as a 'radio', and it tries to match up other bands like them. Only problems are it's pretty 'era-specific', so 9" Nails will probably pull of bands from when they were the most popular, and someone, somewhere has some strange ideas about what 'like band x' means...;)

still, it's good ear candy...
