incredibly enough i got ONE idea tonight :D

but yeah, toss in little keywords, right at this point, it can be very varied...

uh...

i have covered most of war and destruction and related ideas

what im going for are stories that could be placed in another world, so to be told as a story that would be plain and boring if told "on earth" but that could be given a different "flare" if told on a different planet. it is sci-fi, but im doing semi/unrelated shorts

ive covered a lot of classic scenarios as well, such as one zombie-slasher, one lonely "superhero", one colosseum scene, even some "fantasy" "virtual reality" scenarios :D

so, im trying to keep it very varied, but still within a certain realm of reality :I certain :I

just a few things to throw out, not sure exactly what you need, but if this isn't close then no big deal:
~flood
~person in big hamster wheel
~ghost on an airplane wing
~pirates taking over a cruise liner
~conjoined twins
~Blimp explosion
~wildfires

People (aliens or humans) whose intellect was artificially inflated, and are now imprisoned.
A jail full of Thomas Edison/Lex Luthors ....

puzzle62, thanx that is EXACTLY the kind of impulses i need.
i can allready see a potential for a drama-onboard-civilian-cruiser as a short story/civilian craft accident.

wildfires/floods does have potential, the problem here is my characters are so unbound by land, that natural disasters mean nothing to them. they simply move away, and the general scope of the storyline would make natural disasters uninteresting if not affecting a main character somehow.

but im definitely gonna ponder a bit on this civilian craft drama

thanx!! :D

prof_pretorius, thats a good idea too, very specific, which is also why ive allready used it more or less. i have several imprisonment moments, with great minds slowly withering/going insane, even if the detail would differ, its too similar to scenes i allready describe.

but keep the ideas coming, you are both on to my mindset!

ahah lawsuits raining down on me? :D

but "devil worshippers" is a good keyword. im still saving "commercial flight disaster" and i allready got a vague idea of how to make it work.

i have covered a LOT of "evil in darkness" im looking for more... "normal" things, that i have overlooked, such as commercial flight disasters.

umm, aspie inadvertantly discovers the underlying pattern beneath all of existence and the ensuing events and happenings to follow?

person in the distant future who has commited many sins goes on first-person explorative mission to a potential planet for colonization runs into space phenomena enroute that unexplainedly lands him in the 4th dimension where he finds out he can exert godlike powers over our dimension but can no longer participate in it himself and ponders if he has inadvertantly broken through to god's realm. whereupon he comes upon a disembodied sentience that has been since the universe was created from nothingness and has watched the worlds from it's prospective prison and erratically intervened upon reality at random over the eons. faced with this new power he can make up for his great guilt for things he has done and let happen in the past by inadvertantly helping those he left behind. an innocent experiment on earth by practicers of "pure science" occurs however that could devastate all of existence, an experiment by those who know not wholy what they do as they mess with forces they do not wholy comprehend and inadvertantly create a fracture; the beginning of a cataclysm in space-time that could mean the end of everything. the man is presneted with two options: 1.) do nothing, take the cowards way out, and remain safe in his newfound dimension, or 2.) save everything he has ever known and loved by sacrificing himself to the void in a necessary final act that would be the only way as told him by the sentience to sufficiently heal the breach, making him a tragic but unknown hero.

would make for an interesting tragedy. damn, i just came up with all that just now. didn't know i hd it in me.
i fail as a story writer. i'm good with poetry however.

The previous post sounds a bit like "The Unreasoning Mask" by Phillip Jose Farmer.
