question about posting music on WP

I would like to put a couple tracks up in the "musician's showcase" or maybe in my old recording thread, but I don't know how to get the tracks from my computer to the internets. I don't have myspace, nor do I intend to at this point.

I'm not great with computers, so simplicity in explanation would be helpful.


Any assistance you all can give me would be much appreciated

I'm not ready to rock though because I have another question. Is the stuff I upload there able to be downloaded by anyone? Or can it only be acquired thru, say, a link I put up on here or wherever? I just would have a problem posting incomplete original stuff if just anybody could access it...

Either way, everything "complete" (ish) that I have still needs to mastered, but I'll record a single-track cover or 2 tonight or tomorrow and test it out.

The only way for anyone to get your file is if you directly give them the link, that's the beauty of it. I can transfer .max graphic files with other mod devs without the risk of anyone stealing the file on me I've got to warn you though, I think only 10 people can download the file. Megaupload might be a good alternative, but I've never tried that myself.
