Well, I was only diagnosed with AS recently but its pretty obvious that guitar is my obssessive, niche thing that I have hooked onto with everything.

Apparently, instruments are a popular thing with obssessive aspies so I'm guessing some of you will have videos too and I'd like to see them :-)

I don't have many recent videos because I am waiting for my box guitar - one neck with two sets of six strings (Tuned EADGBe and EADGCF).

My first attempt at touchstyle:

A simple picking exercise played slow-med-fast:

A later attempt at touchstyle:

A piece I mutated into touchstyle guitar from its original piano hehe:

A cover of a KSE song Imade with a guy I have never met!

A poprock (avenged sevenfold) guitar only cover:

Metalcore (parkway drive) cover with midi backing:

Castlevania (video game) song done rock style hahaha:

And finally, Cannibal Corpse - Blowtorch Slaughter cover:

I might have sworn once in this video... But I don't remember.

In some of these you'll see a PRS STD24 20th anniversary model.

I had been confused by a psychiatrist who made me feel terrible and have what I know now is a "meltdown" and in addition I was frustrated that I couldn't do on guitar what I could do on piano because of the height of the strings and that there are only 6 strings...

Well, I threw it out of my window and destroyed it. It cost my parents £2000 and was my gift for doing so well on GCSEs. I then heated a knife one my stove and made the skin on my left hand bubble, pop and hiss by pressing the flat side of the knife against it. I also burnt up all the money I had in note form on our stove.

I am now getting a Box guitar, a 12 string guitar set up to be tappable with full dynamic range so that will be good but I still feel horrible about my PRS because I miss it and my parents paid for it. But Stu Box has given me a discount and I get commissions for each customer I send to him for a box guitar, because he was impressed with my technique. So I can pay them back!

Yeah, I can play by ear, and know several instruments. However, when I recorded music, it was on cassette...don't think I have an interface to capture it to PC, but if there is one, sing out...;)

I used to be in the school band and I was the guitarist aswell...
My teacher was shooed how fast I learnt how to play it. Because I was that good, I was even entered into a competition and our school came in second out of millions of schools... And what was even better was I came up with the guitar parts myself :D

although I always preferred art which has always been my thing since I was a little kid and it has always been my talent I've been proud of, it could of been linked to my AS :)
