My folks always used to play Fleetwood Mac records when I was a kid!
Especially the Rumours and Tango in the Night LPs.
Their best track IMHO is Isnt It Midnight - studio version, of course. (And it's not on YouTube! Grrr!)

FM was really at least three different bands - First a hardcore old-school blues outfit, then a more jazzy progressive band, then the pop group everybody remembers - only after Welch left and Nicks and Buckingham joined.

If you like the sound of that final incarnation, hunt down the Buckingham/Nicks album that Stevie and Lindsey did right before joining Fleetwood Mac. It's incredible! The original version of Crystal is on there. For some reason Lindsey Buckingham has been sitting on the master tapes for years and won't allow it to be re-released, I can't imagine why, but if you can find an old vinyl copy or a Cd bootleg, it's worth the search.

I don't have Buckingham/Nicks but I remember a friend had it. I must have been about 18 or so. I had the Bare Trees album and I loved the song When We Are Dust ( I think)- It reminds me that the Steve Miller band and Boz Scaggs used to be really good, before Miller went Pop and Scaggs went all SOCAL.

A moment of transcendent musical genius, sadly taking its place alongside the likes of I Will Always Love You and Torn for being best known as a greatly inferior cover.

Tusk with the USC marching band or whatever they're called is also made of 100% awesome.
