Do you think Jimi Hendrix was autistic?

I heard on a documentary that all Jimi Hendrix would ever talk about was the guitar, even with good friends. That sounds like Aspergers to me. What do you think? And he was so smart, of course.

Too much feeling in his guitar playing, he also had good eye contact, not autistic or aspergers just genius I think!!

I don't think an aspergers person would want to be in a sloppy, loose style like that.

Actually, in interviews, Jimi's former bandmates have said that he didn't like to look directly at people - in fact, when the Experience was starting out, Jimi would play entire sets facing away from the audience because he couldn't take looking at them.

However, overall I'd say that while he might have had enough in common with us to perhaps be a "shadow Aspie", he wouldn't have been diagnosable with AS (had the diagnosis existed then, which of course it didn't).
