Some dude going by XOC has been re-recording classic Nintendo game soundtracks, and doing a brilliant job of it.

I can't find the list again since I first found out about this a year ago, and I don't remember how many instruments he used for this, but he used around 20-30 different instruments and random homemade thingamajiggers.
