* Splice is terminology I use to describe a blend between mix and remix. Basically the goal of splicing is to take existing music and transform it into new music in whole or part, so that, in essence, the result is the total sum of its parts. This is analogous to a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. The butterfly is still a caterpillar, but it's been spliced by nature into a new form for our enjoyment.
