I was very tempted to list the first eight as joint first. They're not just the joint first of my favourite Dylan albums - they'd also be joint first for my favourite album ever, along with a whole bunch of stuff by Zappa. But I avoided such a temptation.

I haven't bothered listening to Together Through Life or Christmas in the Heart because they seem like I'd pretty much hate them. I had a Dylan obsession a few years ago largely responsible for me getting to hear more albums than I otherwise would have, though curiously enough Desire only emerged as my favourite a long time after the obsession faded.
