Ok, I'm going to ask the question: Do any of you guys listen to VK or any of its counterparts? (Angura, Nagoya, Erugoro or just plain Japanese rock)
I was briefly obsessed with it for a year or two, but grew out of it. I still listen to some of the better bands I discovered. Including:
Girugamesh (current favourite band)
Dir en grey (the old stuff mostly)
Mucc
The GazettE
Ghost
Unsraw
LM.C (didn't like their new album though)
I also like Silver Ash, a Chinese VK band

Have you guys been to any concerts? Met any bands? If more people share their exploits I'll share mine =D

^^Because there's already a band called Gilgamesh
And besides, I'd much rather go by the term the band itself uses. I'm not about to go around typing Motley Crew or Corn, so why should I do it on Girugamesh?

I was into visual kei like, 10 years ago. When I was 16-17. I liked all the underground stuff, Dir en grey (though a friend did show me some of their more recent stuff... as long as Kyo is singing, it sounds fabulous), Luna Sea, Miyavi's first album or so, Raphael, Psycho le Cemu, and then I kind of lost interest because nothing sounded as good as the stuff I grew up with.

4 years later I got into European metal, and I haven't really looked back unless I was feeling nostalgic.

I also left the scene because I felt "too old" to really enjoy it, same reason I gave up anime. (Try being 24-25 with a kid talking to 18 year olds in college who want to cosplay as the bands. Yeah. Major disconnect.)
