Is anyone else excited that Devo has made a come back this year with their new Album, Something for Everyone? Actually, I only learned about this last week, when they made an appearance on the Colbert Report -and despite looking like a bunch of grandpas, I thought they still had their old sound. The last time I ever paid any mind to these guys was back in the 80's, when I was in high school and Whip It was about the coolest song around. Their music is still innovative and funny, and I had a great time going through YouTube, playing their old stuff from back when i was a kid, as well as from their new gigs just this year - Jimmy Kimmel, Letterman, the Winter Olympics...
So, anyone else love or hate them?
(And yes, they have a new drummer, now.)

-Bill, otherwise known as Kraichgauer

Saw 'em on Letterman a week or so back. They are looking a bit old, I think I'd hit the gym before jumping on the old tour bus.

I appreciate their sound as a definitive piece of cultural history now, but back in the day, I felt they were pulling off some eclectic practical joke and it just didn't resonate with my sense of humor - but then neither did Andy Kaufman, or The Sex Pistols at the time - some things you just have to grow into, I guess.

Pardon me while I rack up a few games of Pac Man.

No, seriously, its an addiction I inherited from an old girlfriend...

Just saw them on Colbert Report a couple of nights ago. I don't think they need to hit the gym at all. They still have "it' musically, and are as "Devo" as they ever were!

Link to the video.
