Is the bottom one the singer from Marillion?

I don't know the top one at all. Here are mine:

Marillion's original lead singer/lyricist, yes. Derek Dick, better known as Fish.

The top one is Gordon Downie, lead singer/lyricist for The Tragically Hip.

I've always been intrigued how much my two favorites look so much alike. They didn't always though. Here's a couple of shots of them both when they were much younger. Pics of Fish at this age without makeup are really few and far between!

NO idea who yours are!

The above are Kate Bush and Tori Amos . . . aren't they?

Mine are Morrissey and Nick Cave!

I've been out of the "loop" since the late eighties I think...

If I die of vanity, promise me, promise me,
they bury me someplace I don't want to be,
you'll dig me up and transport me, unceremoniously,
away from the swollen city-breeze, garbage-bag trees,
whispers of disease amd the acts of enormity
and lower me slowly, sadly and properly
Get Ry Cooder to sing my eulogy,
At the hundredth meridian where the great plains begin.
~ Gord Downie

We are jigsaw pieces aligned on the perimeter edge
Interlocked through a missing piece
We are renaissance children becalmed beneath the Bridge of Sighs
Forever throwing firebrands at the stonework
We are Siamese children related by the heart
Bleeding from the surgery of initial confrontation
Holding the word scalpels on trembling lips
Stand straight, look me in the eye and say goodbye
Stand straight, we've drifted past the point of reasons why
Yesterday starts tomorrow, tomorrow starts today
And the problem always seems to be we're picking up the pieces on the ricochet
~ Fish

Kate Bush and Tori Amos are my all time favourites, too. People say I sound like Kate Bush. :)

My homage to her:

I don't know about a favorite, but looking back I see that Elton John is pap without Bernie Taupin. He wrote Daniel and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road etc.

Not at her best - for the first ten seconds!

That's a Durham accent, in case you're wondering. :) The Big Meeting is the annual and now ironically named Miner's Gala. And sorry 'bout the end.

Kirsty is a given for one, but the second place could equally well have gone to any of a couple of dozen (literally - I was listing and stopped counting) others. I'm just going for Jez 'cause he's local. :)
