I have a vintage family ring, a favorite, that I wear everyday. I am of European heritage and I do know, for certain, the image is a representative symbol of Vlad Tepish, a Romanian historical figure. By happenstance, member Meow101 posted her awesome music video; she's very gifted in linguistics and speaks Romanian. Below is Meow101's thread, for reference:

In this thread (above link) I had mentioned this ring and thought to post a picture. A photo might not work so well as it's a ring (small) and I'm not a good photographer. So, I drew a picture! Below. Sorry.....just a quick sketch and with ballpoint pen, but the image is accurate. My ring is 24K yellow gold and the 'back setting' is black onyx. In my drawing, the black equates to the onyx and the white is the yellow gold. This signet is about 1 cm in diameter.

Like I wrote to Meow101, I don't know much about this ring/symbol and maybe you all know, yes? I've had compliments on this ring, including an experienced jeweler who was curious, but cannot find this particular image in writings or online.

For historical context: In Romania, Vlad Tepish is regarded as a hero in that he saved the people from the invading Turks. 1431-1476; Prince of Wallachia. True, later he was known as Vlad the Impaler and Bram Stoker based the character Dracula on Vlad Tepish. Anyhow, do you know of this unique image? Thanks. You're all in my will :)
