Some rather ummm.... colorful.... song titles listed here!

And I thought I knew something about risqué roots blues, but I never heard of a lot of those.

Absolutely there are tons of great lost oldies (clean and naughty).

They also did a lot of great instrumentals in the infancy of Rocknroll: Cozy Cole's "Topsy Part Two", The Chantay's "Pipeline", Surfaris "Wipe Out". The Percolator Twist (forget the artist), come to mind.

A few songs that were significant hits but the oldies stations don't play.

The oldies stations play Redbone's "Come and get your love" constantly but not this song

Scott Joplin, George Gershwin. Both died young, one recognised and famous, the other overlooked; one black, one white. Both left a legacy of extraordinary music which that they had written, introducing new styles and forms for piano music and performance. Both touched with genius, they set lasting influences in place for 20th century music of many and various kinds.

I like the very old songs because their beats were different from the beats today. My favourite is by far "I Want a Girl" by the group Buffalo Bills. It's from 1911 I think.
