I finished Albert Camus' The Stranger (alternately rendered in English as The Outsider) a few weeks ago, and I must say, it was a fantastic read. I initially picked it up because I myself have been working on a writing project involving similar themes (particularly nihilism and absurdism). As I read it, I found myself thinking it was a particularly good book for Aspies. Perhaps it's partly due to the version I read-- I read Matthew Ward's 1988 translation, and apparently it makes a good deal of difference-- but I found myself relating so deeply with the character of Meursault. He walks through his life stoically, virtually untouched by emotion and seeing no point in the pretense of playing along with modern social conventions. I highly recommend it.
