Got tickets for a Deep Purple show in '07 for my 18th birthday. Another great band was supposed to open for them, I forget which but it was another band I'd been looking forward to seeing. Something happened that opening band cancelled for the night and Edgar Winter (who I hadn't yet heard of) flew down from Canada to open for Deep Purple. Blew me away, turned out to be the highlight of the show, and I enjoyed them more than Deep Purple and was glad that I got to see Winter & co. open rather than the other band.

I love Frankenstein but that youtube video annoys me so much because the audio is pretty much a measure and a half ahead of the video.

Gotta love 70's Prog. :]

I want They Only Come Out at Night, which has Frankenstein and Free Ride. Good band. Can't afford all the albums I want though, so that's why I don't have it yet.

I actually just noticed this today, after having watched it multiple times in the last couple o' days. It must be a glitch in the YouTube system, maybe. Either way I just ignore it.

That dude's got stage presence. As well as the ability to use his music in ways that blow your mind. I think 'we all had a real good time,' in the arena where he played when I saw him.
