while the ghetto, gangsta culture and lifestyle repulses me I really like rap because of the creative lyrics and expression.

The last few years or so i've in the san fransisco bay area frequently w/ friends and whatnot and the rap from there really stuck with me. This one rapper named Andre nickatina in peticular really attracted my attention becuase he has such a distinct, unique rap style with very innovative and creative lyrics. he really paints a picture in my mind and even invokes strong emotions. The only other rappers who did that consistently for me were Eminem and Tupac

Oh yeah Chiddy Bang, ive been listening to them for a while too they are pretty good. The only thing they have against them is that they just sample existing songs and make something completely new out of em. I like "All things Go" "Never" and " "opposite of adults".

Zion - I is really good too. saw the duo three times in the last two years and they blew me away. I really like their remix of Rebelutions 'Safe and Sound'

im not that big into rap and hip hop anymore so i cant really say whos good nowdays. ill check out some of the guys you listed , thanks. Lately ive shifted into more of indie, dubstep, reggae and embarrassingly some poppy and some blue grasstype type of music. Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Passon pit, Bassnector, Rusko, Soldiers of Jah Army, groundation, slightly stupid vampire weekend to name a few.

I have come across one group in the pacific northwest called the Blue Scholars, you probably havnt heard of them but I find them very refined and sometimes has a jazzy feel to them.
