What songs make you cry and why?

Pony by Dame: this song reminds me of of a character in my book series that became my imaginary friend that led to me becoming suicidal because he wasn't real(other things made me as well)

Always by The Birthday Massacre: I can't even listen to this song right now. My mom is going through a divorce right now and it has took a toll on everbody in my family. Right when she says "We take these pictures of the wall" I can see my mom burning their wedding album and taking photos including him from the house and lighting them on fire.

Face Down by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus: One of my best friends step dads badly abused and beat her.

"Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman: It reminds me of what my mom's life was like when she first met my dad.

"I'm Already There" by Lonestar: It reminds me a lot of when my dad had to go out-of-state for months at a time on business.

"Hands" by Jewel: The first time I heard it was on 9/11, when a news station was doing a tribute to the victims. I will forever associate the song with that day.

"Concrete Angel" by Martina McBride: It doesn't remind me of anyone/anything in particular - it's just that the content of the song is about a girl being beaten to death by her father.

This is about the lead singer's nephew who died of a heart defect at the age of eight:

It appeared on the album Road Apples in 1991. There has been a rumor floating around the internet that they would not perform the song live for many years, because the entire band would get too choked up.

The rumor is true. They do perform it live now, but I'm not sure when they first did.

I didn't notice you had it listed. I almost mentioned Iris here as well. I had only glanced at your list. I can relate to some of the other songs you mentioned but they don't make me cry probably cuz their more anger/frustration

If it involves death, opression, or tragic love gone wrong, I'll probably cry. Most other songs infuriate me.
