So last year I got really made about that awful "I Am Autism" video and recorded this song and made this video:

I like the basic sentiment behind it very much. I am going to re-record it because I have revised the lyric a little to make it less topical, and because this was my second take of a lyric I'd finished just an hour before. It's a pretty rough performance, painful, in fact, at some points.

The video also drives me crazy now because there's no relationship most of the time between the visual and the song. It almost works better to experience audio and video separately-- it's very, very autism unfriendly.

I'd like to build the video around the work of artists with autism. If you have some art-- in any genre-- that you'd like to contribute to the project, please let me know, through this thread or pm. Your work doesn't need to be new for the project, and it certainly doesn't need to relate to the words of the song (although it can). It does need to be original to you. Also, if you know someone whose art you'd like to see in this project, please consider asking them to contact me. Kids' work is great!

You can check out my YouTube channel at thAutcast if you want to see some of my other videos. I'll be posting a new animation soon that I'm very happy with.
