Drawing and the senses

I am writing a paper for english and it is descriptive, about drawing.
My teacher says we need to try and include all the sentences.
I just want your description of drawing in regards with any of the senses (though it would be great if anyone could include taste or smell).

I have a drawing teacher who emphasizes touch via blind line contour. "imagine your tracing your pencil over their bodies." Don't think taste and smell have much to do with it.
